KENYA/TANZANIA ULTIMATE WILDLIFE SAFARI

Trip Length: 15-21 days  |  Land cost: from $3430

"Sunrises. Sunsets. Seeing our children's ecstatic expressions. Listening to our guide. The beauty of the African plains, the lions, the flamingoes, giraffes. Running and playing, the wild dogs, our visit to a Maasai village....It was all just wonderful. Thank you for everything!"
-Sandy McCardell (and family), Connecticut

Tanzania stands alone as the premier wildlife viewing place on earth. Nowhere else can one see more than a million migrating plains animals in in one fell swoop of the eye. It is a sight largely unchanged from that witnessed by our earliest human ancestors, the archeological remains of whom can still be seen at Tanzania's famed Olduvai Gorge. Kenya's natural beauty and cultural diversity - forty-eight different languages and traditions, snow-peaked equatorial mountains, white sand beaches and pristine wilderness - offer an incredible array of wildlife and unique cultures in a spectacular setting. Combining the two on safari gives you the opportunity to experience the very best of Africa's wildlife.

On this specially designed safari, you will visit some of the most outstanding environments in both countries. From Nairobi you travel north to Sweetwaters Game Reserve and the foothills of Mount Kenya. You continue on to the Rift Valley's Lake Nakuru National Park, home to a wide diversity of birdlife, and a designated rhino sanctuary. Following the great Rift Valley south, you will visit the legendary Masai Mara game reserve, one of the greatest wildlife areas in the world. Then, continuing on to Tanzania, you will enter the Tarangire-Lokisale ecosystem with its large herds of elephants, and the infinite expanse of the Serengeti plains, home to the great wildebeest migration. From the timelessness of ancient Olduvai Gorge and finally into the forested highlands of Ngorongoro Crater, itself considered one of the natural wonders of the world, you will discover the natural beauty and wildlife of these magnificent countries, with game drives, guided nature walks, and visits to colorful handicraft markets.
